About The Unit

Career Service Centre is a new intervention line by the Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund ). TETFund introduced Career Service Centre to complement other Programs in Tertiary Institutions. The OGITECH Career Service Centre was established on the 15th of July, 2024 by the current Rector, Dr. Oluseye Abiodun who appointed Mr. Ayodele Olomieja as the Head, of the Centre. Dr. Abiodun recognized the need and importance of setting up a dedicated career services at Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, given the institute's location as the industrial hub of the State. The goal of establishing the OGITECH Career Service Centre is:

1. To provide information for students on trends in the job market, opportunities, and requisite skills as well as linkages with the employment industries including the alumni of the institutions.
2. To provide students with tools for self-assessment to identify their interests, strengths, weaknesses and prospects.
3. To provide counseling, guidance, and support to all students.
4. To organize and facilitate education programs, workshops, seminars, and other similar programs to equip students with relevant employability skills to assist them search for jobs
5. To provide transition resources by supporting resume building, application processes and interview preparation.
6. Most importantly, to provide career guidance, job placement assistance, and professional development opportunities for the institute's students and graduates.
7. To grow partnerships with China African Investment FTZ, igbesa. Industries in Agbara, Ota  and environsso as to strengthen employment pipelines between Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa - graduatesand the local/multinational  industries

As a technical/vocational tertiary institution, OGITECH's proximity to industrial and commercial centers in Ogun State made a career services center a valuable resource for connecting students to potential employers.

The mission of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa Career Service Center is     

to empower undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni to engage  in

ongoing career  discernment and supporting their pursuit of lives.

1.2 Vision

Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa Career Service Center envisions a

commitment and dedication to collaborative, proactive approaches to the ongoing

professional formation of undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni.

Aspiring to lead innovative career development, we aim for deep engagement with

alumni and the surrounding community to support student success.
